Fresh leaves burst of lemon when squeezed. A truly delightful tea made from the dried leaves is our favorite anytime tea as it both stimulates the heart and calms the nerves. We urge everyone to try it. Fresh chopped leaves are also interesting in salads, soups and stews. Proven effective against herpes. CITRONELLA is the most fragrant variety available. Has double the oil content of other varieties, up to 0.4%. Suited for home gardens and for commercial pot plant and field production. Uniform, compact, erect form, 10-12in high with medium-large to large leaves. Mildew resistant.

Sow seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before last frost. Transplant after all danger of frost is past and soil has warmed to app. 65 deg.

Direct sow when soil has reached app. 65 deg. Keep moist but not wet until well established. Moderate moisture afterwards.

Likes full sun and well drained, moderately rich soil with normal pH ranges.
